Free airline tickets

Is your friend touting about the free airline tickets they received the last time they flew? It may be very easy to get yourself a free airline ticket. There are several ways you can get a free airline ticket.

You can receive a free airline ticket when you have a credit card with frequent flyer miles, you can belong to an airline club that racks up frequent flyer miles, or you can receive a free airline ticket when you let yourself be bumped off the flight. Airlines tend to over book their flights and have stand by people waiting in the hopes they can get out that day. Most airlines offer free airline tickets to those willing to take a later flight or travel the next day. Though free airline tickets given out on the day of your travel is not always fun the ticket is transferable to any member of your family and usually does not have the restrictions the frequent flyer miles tickets can have so it may be worth it the next time you are offered free tickets for your seats.

Frequent flyer mile tickets or free airline tickets have certain restrictions. Often you cannot use the ticket to fly on holidays or certain times in the summer months. These dates are called black out dates and can be frustrating when you need to fly out and can’t get the flight. It also takes quite a bit of flying time or money spent to earn free tickets. Each program is different. When you are looking to use a free airline ticket it is best to call the credit card travel agent or frequent flyer program agent to help you get the proper flight. You can always search online for flights available, but they often have limited seats they can give to a free airline ticket holder so you may not get those flights you researched.

Free airline tickets can seem like a huge hassle, but they will get you were you need to go especially if you are a little flexible in your dates. Knowing the company’s policies before signing up for a frequent flyer program can also lead you to less hassles. There are credit card companies that offer no blackout dates if you can get that credit card. It is up to you to find the best program for your needs to gain free airline tickets or you can always be bumped off a flight offering the free ticket as a side benefit for waiting a few extra hours.
