Indian pop music

In the following article, I would like to take the time to tell you about Indian pop music. Indian pop music is also known to be referred to as Indi-pop as well as Hindi-pop and it is also a term that is normally used to refer to the specific pop music that is of India. You will find as you are learning about Indian pop music that it is actually based on a variety of different Indian folk music as well as classical music and it is also influenced by the modern beats that are actually from various parts of the world. When it comes to the basics of Indian pop music, you will find that it was rarely known to even exist between the nineteen seventy’s and the nineteen eighties. Alisha Chinoy was the Indian singer that was able to actually push the idea of South Asian music into what was known as a pop motif. You will also notice that most of the Indian pop music if not all of the Indian pop music is known to be generated from the Indian Film Industry that actually coincides with what is known as the film genre.
When you are studying western music you will find that there have been several different Indians that have actually been able to gain certain popularity from the mainstream of popular Western music which is known to be especially the case when it comes to rock. Needless to say Indian pop is a genre that remains to be relatively unknown when it comes to the West. The artists that are associated with the Indian descent are known to include Freddie Mercury who was known as the British band Queen. He was actually born in Zanzibar which is located in Tanzania and he was able to start his individual first band in what was known as an Indian boarding school which was located in Panchgani. There are many bands such as the Indie band that is known as Cornershop that have been able to fuse Indian as well as Western music. There are also many different musicians as well as producers that have been an influence to this genre of music as well such as Talvin Singh.
