Urban break dance

The creativity that dancing brings to the stage or the streets are here to stay. Urban break dancing from the word urban itself, meaning from the streets is very common to all.

Hip hop dancing is one form of urban dancing. Popularize from the streets, it pave its way to the music industry and to music videos. This dance comes from the soul and produces self impressions. Hip hop music contributes much to these dances. The beat and the rhythm that the body movements shall go with is the key to as more interesting dance. The explosiveness of the hip hop dance is a break in the formal dances that we use to do. This is much informal in style and all its technique like the jumping, rotations, breaking and popping contributes to the free style as it is. Hip hop music and dancing is therefore an urban way of expressing creativity and culture. Other sees this as an art which is enticing the people who loves dancing to take part on free style dancing. As this is an expression, it means some dancing style of hip hop implores direct exploitation on the attention that it has.

This style of dancing is also considered as a good exercise, because all parts of the body are moving in motion and doing some incredible movements. The flexibility and the balance that it brings shall help the dancers in making that big improvement in their dance style. The movements that it hip hop brings are not in dances like ballet and ballroom dancing. Remember that hip hop dancing is informal in style making it adaptable to everyone who wants to experience it. It doesn’t need formal training and more time to practice. Urban hip hop dancing exercises freedom in the movements that it makes. Not like in ballets that every movement has a name. In hip hop dancing, learning the technique is only the essential element that the dancer has to have to do the dance style.

Interested people who want hip hop dancing can easily be learned. Not like in any dance styles, urban hip hop break dancing needs no age limit and no restrictions on gender. The instructor doesn’t need to be a professional also, but it needs discipline for some of the movements are difficult to demonstrate and perform.

  2. I really enjoyed this blog, maybe because I agreed and disagreed with a lot of the points made. I agree that it is a free-form of expression, but i disagree that it is not like ballet or other formal dance styles. I was a B-boy for several years and I can tell you that it does take years of practice, determination, pain, as well as learning the fundamental moves (which also have names) Just like all dances, you have the creative license for free form, which is what B-boying primarily consists of, just check out David Elsewhere, it’s hard to say that is “formal” but dances are just as explosive as the next form, it all depends on the dancer.
