Mantra
The word “Mantra” practically refers to a word that is to be recited repeatedly by a person, in a state of meditation or doing yoga, or simply having complete concentration, controlling his mind this way. Mantra may sometimes refer to the poems or hymns that are recited towards gods or goddesses. The ultimate aim of a mantra always seems to be same. The frequency related with the words in the mantra appears to be of some magical quality, as they have wonderful effects on the physical state of various parts of our body.
The mantra concept appears to have originated primarily from “India”, and the historic evidences say that these words were the once used by sages of ancient period when they were involved in deep meditations and other rituals of mind. The mantra seems to have some trick to the sages and these mantras are the once appearing in many Vedic scriptures. The devanagiri script, one of the most ancient script till date has many records of such mantras and each of them certain unique quality in them.
The use of mantras was very much varied and different as the mantras itself. There were many mantras meant for many different purposes. But eventual effect was that it made the physical being to function well and did some greater good to the mind and body. It’s still a debatable aspect as to whether the sages where great and so practiced the mantra recitations, or the other way around. But either ways, it is pretty obvious that mantra instills upon our soul some certain qualities and makes us better in an extraordinary way, which we are not fully aware of. The present day practitioners give credit to the mantras, as much as they give yoga.
Scientific researchers approve that the base of a mantra is sound, and energy based on sound is made use of to bring about betterment of the body and mind. The main aim of using a mantra seemed to be for getting the calmness into ones mind and to bring vital parts of our body active, so that they function better. The repetitions of the mantras are the basis of having the concentration factor maintained across the meditation task.
This type of approach by Vedic age people reinforces the idea that Vedic sages considered the life to be a form of energy. The mantras are for channeling the energy of life in a particular direction. But scientifically these beliefs prove to be correct as the sound energy from the mantra revitalizes our body and mind. The good we do, the good we reap, goes the saying and mantra is proven to be good!

I have so far deleted over 14800 of these including a mass of porn links which is tiresome.
I welcome comments only from real people with something to say and relevant.
In regard to comments, as much as I like to reply to as many comments as possible it is very difficult what with work and college commitments to do so.
Hopefully other readers can pass on their ideas and suggestions to any questions you may have.
