Afl drug policy

Sport is not just an activity for leisure. It might be for leisure to some people, but to majority it is a job. It is no fun. This is more like a passion. If you do not have the passion for sport that you intend to play then you will never be able to play the game with best of you strength and capacity. You have to be loyal to the game which you are playing. It is more like a religion to the player who is playing the game. A game is not like a children activity for fun purposes only. It involves a lot of rules and regulation to play it. All the players of the team playing a particular game have to abide by the rules of that game. Each and every single game has its own set of rules. These rules are the points on the basis of which it is decided that which team wins and which team lost the game. Rules vary from game to game. Like in football when the person from the rival team makes a goal the other team can not claim that he is too thin to play football. There are certain rules and there is a match referee which makes sure that these rules are followed correctly. These rules are to be implemented by the controlling authority of a particular game. Every game has its own regulatory authority. Even the football has the bodies governing it. These rules are not only restricted to the field only. They also govern the lifestyles of the players involved in the game. There are many other rules apart from the game rules. These rules directly affect the lives of the players. One such rule is the drug policy in every game. There is not a single game in the world which allows its player to use drugs for the better performance. There are drugs available in the markets which are often used by the players for their better performance in the matches. These drugs include in them some materials which are banned.

Like any other regulatory body, the AFL Australian football league has its own rules for the drug use. It is a very popular issue that AFL does not take proper tests of its players to check whether they are involved in the usage of drugs or not. In 2005 AFL established a drug policy and it is one of the only two sport bodies which test its players for the use of drugs.
