As you may or may not know, YouTube has been banned from a lot of countries as well as a lot of different schools and institutions based on the fact that they don’t believe that YouTube is proper for being seen from their facilities or by the students that are at the facilities because they are believed to be corrupted. In my opinion I don’t think that YouTube should be banned from these countries however, I do favor the banning of YouTube on the school’s computers and things to that nature in general because of the fact that there are some things that are not appropriate for those children that may have the opportunity to see them.
I think that the parents are the ones that should have the say so in what their children are able to view at home and when it comes to school, I think that the teachers as well as the educational directors should be able to have the say so. If they are not going to ban the website they should at least take the time to ban certain areas of the site that may be corrupted for the children’s minds. However, with technology these days it is not hard to be able to view the site even if it is blocked from the computers that you are using.

I’m absolutely solidary with you. All the people should have a right to see all information they want. And if it’s impossible there should be ways to solve this problem. I’m for freedom of a word and content. My country blocks a lot of sites that I want to visit. I can’t see anything bad in those sites! When I had used SmartHide - http://www.smarthide.com I found out that these sites are available for UK and USA users. I don’t understand why it is so.
